ADVOCACY
Initiated the formation of state level SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD FORUM(SLF-M) for policy advocacy on food security in Manipur.
237 women victims of HIV-AIDS, armed conflict and widows of Chandel District, Manipur filed their different petitions before the Harsh Mandal Commission for Public Hearing on Right to Food which was held on 11th and 12th of July, 2012.
Food distribution system reformed in the state after state level public hearing conducted with our state level partners of sustainable livelihood forum which was convened by WSDC.
This Commission gave recommendations to the State Chief Secretary relating to PDS benefits for HIV infected persons, armed conflict victims, covering young. Windows in pension scheme, priority to widows in rural self employment programs, easy access to PDS items in the remote/hill villages of Manipur. Accordingly, these recommendations materialized w.e.f. April, 2013.
GENDER
Fifty Women in Governance, developed promoter in 5 villages; actively involved in gender-based violence prevention activities.
Five Villages, Inclusion of Women in the Village Authority and Development of Women Secular Body.
